Having released equally one of the first critically acclaimed games of the year, Resident Evil 7 reached Capcom's aims - to both renew the series and return information technology to its roots. The game's starting time free update, yet, wouldn't have matched those same expectations. So it's dodging its original Spring release.
Letting the fans know directly through a thoughtful and apologetic video posted to the official Resident Evil YouTube channel this morning time, producer Masachika Kawata and director Koshi Nakanishi came to deliver the 'unfortunate news'.
Admitting that while they've worked difficult to become the Not A Hero DLC pack ready for its original Leap release, they approached the end of its development before coming to the determination that it just wasn't up to the aforementioned loftier standard as the base of operations Resident Evil 7 feel. With their apologies out of the manner, the video cuts to Excecutive Producer Jun Takeuchi - who had a direct hand in the original Resident Evil, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil v.

Mirroring the comments of Kawata and Nakanishi before him, Takeuchi goes on to the state how the strong positive reaction to Resident Evil 7 helped them come up to the conclusion that delaying the Not A Hero DLC pack would be better for its overall quality. Before ending the segment, Takeuchi announced that a farther new piece of DLC is also in the works. No details as to what this is or how long of a delay we're looking at was shared.
The 'Non A Hero' DLC was teased at the end of Resident Evil vii with a Leap release even before its starting time 'Lost Tapes' pack was released. The content is expected to shed light on Chris Redfield's interest in the story of Resident Evil 7 having been a staple of the serial since the original.
